Happy Spring

Well, there is no news on the adoption but I thought I should go ahead and babble post so that I don't forget how to actually work this blog!

"Happy Spring" said from Omaha, Nebraska where the schools have been closed for two days due to the dumping of snow since Sunday morning! Chloe built her first snowman yesterday and had a blast. It was a nice wet, perfect snowman snow so it was ideal. Chloe would pick up huge pieces while proclaiming excitedly how BIG the snow was and carry it over to her little half snowman by the walkway where she plopped it on the top and patted it down. She would then stand up and say; "Mommy, I;m going for more snow" and then march into the middle of the yard to pick up another armful...completely ignoring the fact that snow was all around her, no need to march 5 steps to get it :-)

Last year, I tried to get her to play in the snow while I did the driveway but she wanted no part of it - she was all bundled up in 4 layers of clothes only to stand in the garage watching me with the snowblower :-)

Speaking of layers, my daughter is big on layers (maybe because we keep our in-house temp so low?). Last weekend she disappeared into her room for 30 minutes and came out with a fashion designer outfit consisting of her feety pajamas (1st layer), her bright orange one piece swimsuit (2nd layer), the bottom of her purple polka dot bikini and the top of her orange polka dot bikini (3rd layer) then the top of her purple polka dot bikini (4th layer). Then she slipped her winter coat on top of all that along with her quite big Dora backback/suitcase and professed she was going off to school - where is that digital camera when you need it?

Keep warm everyone and dream about the flowers you will be planting in a few months!
