matching, Go Apollo, summer

Well, rumor has it, the CCAA has "started matching" again - which means the next batch of referrals should arrive within the next week or two. These rumors come in from various agencies across various different countries and there is a whole website devoted to receiving and "rating" these rumors and posting them to a global site so all of the anal retentive people like myself can access and try to statistically assess when we might receive our own referral, it's sick to say the least but a bit entertaining - somewhat like reading your horoscope every Sunday in the paper.

Go Apollo!!!!! Chloe and I have been faithfully watching Dancing with the Stars for several weeks now and playing cheerleaders for Apollo and Juliane and they WON it this week. Though I have to say Joey Fatone had to have been neck and neck because he was quite good as well. I can't believe how into this, Chloe and I had become - especially her - I think she did more dancing while the show was on than the celebrities did. I can't tell you how many times she cracked me up when she would pull me up on our living room dance floor and spin around, then throw her head and arms back "That's ok mommy, you just stand there and I will spin around you...ok...hold my hand...ok....turn your head..." She was so hilarious and so serious and so like a little dancing ballerina Drill Sergeant that I was laughing so hard I couldn't speak!

Chloe lost two teeth in two months - oddly enough the first one on April 19th and the second on May 19th. I have to say her baby teeth were so white and so straight that I was amazed but these two new adult teeth coming in right next to each other on the bottom, are seriously crooked! How can that be????? (Note to self: Begin saving for braces!). She was so excited about the whole thing though - she has been asking me "when will I lose my teeth?" for over a year now ever since her cousins started losing theirs! The toothfairy was very good to her (in my opinion) for her first tooth ($5) only because the toothfairy wasn't prepared and didn't have any one dollar bills (apparently). Unlike her cousins tooth fairy in Millard that was very well prepared and was distributing $20 gift cards to the local store (What??????). Our toothfairy is much poorer I think :-)

Only 2 more days and school is out for the summer. What a concept - I wish I was a kid! I am heading back to Chicago for work next week and unbeknownst to Chlo- she is going with me. She will be spending her days with her bestest of friends Sophia while trudge through the downtown train ride every morning and night - A vacation for Chloe - work for me - except in the evenings when I can see the girls.

Ciao

Don't forget to plant your tomatoes if you haven't already - YUM!
